The Chorus 2 benefits from the combined shielding system first developed for the Chord Signature and the Chord Indigo interconnect cables. The shielding system is used to protect the Teflon insulated, solid core silver-plated signal conductor.

The signal return path is carried externally ensuring that the central signal conductor is completely isolated. The combination of the silver-plated conductor and Teflon insulation enables the Chorus 2 to accurately carry a wide bandwidth signal.

The very low noise floor produced by the tri-layer combined shielding system, ensures that the micro dynamic and the complex harmonic and tonal information that make up the timbre of instruments is neither lost nor masked by noise or interference.
