Creating Dome was a real challenge for Focal, because whatever the speaker size or price, their primary goal is to offer the best possible performance in their “ Spirit of Sound” philosophy. Dome speakers are only 5.5” (14cm) in diameter, built from a die-cast aluminum alloy, in ultra-glossy finish, its design is functional, sophisticated, but clean in the extreme. Infact, the round design helped to avoid internal resonances. Everything is smooth, not a screw is visible, even the joint system on pivot is perfectly integrated, unsuspected in spite of its complexity. Devised like a rotating Sonic Spotlight', Dome is a perfect music source for any room in the house and versatile in that it can be wall/ceiling mounted.
